Creative workshops
Learn to mosaic workshop
About this workshop: This is a one-day workshop on Saturday 31 January, 2026, from 10am-4pm (including an hour’s break for lunch) at The Studio, 5 Shortwood Road, Pucklechurch, BS169RA.
What you will learn: Paul will teach you the basics of mosaic-making, including selecting materials, cutting tiles and ceramics, placement and design, using adhesives and grouting and finishing techniques.
What you will take away: During this workshop you will have the chance to create one or two pieces of finished mosaic art, depending on what you choose. You can choose from making a small mosaic heart, a letter or mosaicing a small mirror.
What to bring: All materials and safety equipment will be provided but you can bring some items of broken crockery, tile or other ceramic you’d like to include in your design.
Refreshments and accessibility information: Light refreshments (tea, coffee, soft drinks, cake) will be provided during the workshop. Please let us know via the registration form if you have any dietary requirements. Please bring your own lunch or you can buy refreshments in the village, which has two shops, a cafe and a bakery. The studio is accessible via three separate sets of stone steps so please let us know on the registration form if you have any mobility requirements and we will do our best to help. Unfortunately the studio is not wheelchair accessible.
Price: £75 per person payable in advance.
