The brief…
Disabled people are disproportionately affected by climate impacts, yet are often excluded from climate action.
Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership invited me along to help capture the insights and priorities of Disabled people expressed during a Climate and Disability Showcase event.
The leadership of Disabled people is essential in ensuring Bristol’s transition is fair, accessible, and effective, and they wanted me to create an engaging visual summary of what inclusive climate action needs to consider.
“We were delighted to invite the wonderful & talented Bex Gilbert to document our recent Climate & Disability showcase event via live illustration.
Bex did a fantastic job of capturing a diverse event covering many themes and ideas - we are delighted with the final illustration which will act as an impactful and accessible legacy from the event.
I'd highly recommend working with creatives (like Bex) to help make the climate conversation (and events) more accessible and engaging to wide audiences.”
