Andrew Kirby Architects - festive window display

I was excited to be invited to create a large-scale window display for a Totnes-based architecture firm that had just moved into new retail premises on Totnes High Street — wanting to raise their profile in the consciousness of local people, having taken over from a business that had been a familiar part of the town for years.

The brief was right up my street: to design something eye-catching that reflects the firm’s green design and building ethos, while honouring the rich architectural heritage that makes Totnes so special. As someone who loves creating bold, story-driven window art, it was a joy to bring this to life.

The design draws on local landmarks and textures, weaving in elements that speak to the practice’s commitment to sustainable, community-led building projects. It’s about showing that good architecture isn’t just about new ideas — it’s about listening, respecting the past, and building with care.

Andy said:

“I have followed Bex Creative since lockdown, and with recently opening a new office, worked with Bex for a Christmas window design. The process was fun and fluid, with quick ideas effortlessly and creatively implemented.

The process of the work led to immediate interest and interaction from the street, and remained an engaging window design piece for its duration.

She was a pleasure to work with and brought a vibrant positive energy to the office during her time with us. We would definitely recommend Bex and work with her again at the next opportunity.”
